Coolant Pump, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the housing for the Map Controlled Engine Cooling Thermostat -F265- and move to the side. Refer to HOUSING FOR Map Controlled Engine Cooling Thermostat -F265-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

• Audi A8: the upper air duct pipe remains installed.

-- Remove the vacuum hose -arrow- at the same time to not damage it.

-- Place the Shop Crane - Drip Tray:VAS 6208  underneath.

-- Remove the bolts -1 to 7- and remove the coolant pump.

Depending on the shape of the vibration damper the bolts "2, 4" from the coolant pump in the illustration "A19-12859" may not be accessible with the Bit Torx T30:T10573  -item 2- and the wrench -1-. In this case remove the vibration damper. Refer to VIBRATION DAMPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
