SUBFRAME CROSSBRACE, Removing And Installing: Notes
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Engine and Gearbox Jack:VAS 6931
- Ball Joint Splitter (Kukko 129-3):VAS 251 805
- Ball Joint Splitter:VAS 251 809 with Ball Joint Splitter:VAS 251 809/1
- Rear Axle Support:T10552
- Strut:T40335
Prepare the Rear Axle Support:T10552
-- Loosen the bolts -arrows-.
-- Adjust the dimension -a-.
- Dimension -a- = 250 mm
-- Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm.
-- Loosen the bolt -right arrow-.
-- Adjust the dimension -b-.
- Dimension -b- = 370 mm.
-- Tighten the bolt -arrow- to 10 Nm:
-- Loosen the left and right lower Support Bolts :T10552/1 -3-.
-- Adjust the dimension -c-.
- Dimension -c- = 185 mm.
-- Turn the left and right threaded sleeves on the Support Bolts:T10552/1 -3- until the dimension -d- is reached.
- Dimension -d- = 175 mm.
-- Position the Adapter:T40386/1 and nut :T40386/2 on the support :T10552/2 and tighten by hand with the bolt -arrow-.
-- Place the Rear Axle Support:T10552 -1- on the Engine and Gearbox Jack:VAS 6931 -2-.
-- Tighten the bolt -right arrow-.
- Tighten the M6 bolt -right arrow- to 5 Nm.
- Tighten the M8 bolt -right arrow- to 10 Nm.
Strut:T40335 , Preparing
- Noise insulation removed. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .
-- Measure the diameter of the hole in the subframe.
a - 17.6 mm
b - 15.6 mm
-- If necessary, loosen the set screw -1-.
-- Insert the Pin:T40335/1 on the correct side in the Strut:T40335 .
-- Tighten the set screw again.
