Fan Shroud, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Remove the front noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the charge air cooler. Refer to CHARGE AIR COOLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Loosen the hose clamp -arrow- and remove the air duct hose from the air duct pipe.
-- Place the container of the :VAS5014 or :VAS6208 underneath.
-- Disconnect the connector -1- for the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Radiator Outlet -G83-.
-- Lift the clamp -3- and remove the lower right coolant hose from the radiator and drain the coolant.
-- Pry up the clamp -arrow- and support the left lower plug in the radiator.
-- Lift the clips -1 and 2-, remove the coolant connection from the radiator and free it up.
-- Release the catches -arrows- and remove the air duct -1-.
There is a risk of hand injury if the radiator fan turns on by itself.
- Do not reach into the radiator fan when disconnecting the connector.
-- Disconnect the connectors -1 and 2- for the radiator fan.
-- Remove the left and right bolts -2- and push the radiator bracket -1- with the bolt toward the front in direction of -arrow-.
-- Push the left and right locking latches for the fan shroud at the same time in direction of -arrow- and lift the fan shroud upward from the radiator and remove from downward.
