Fan Shroud, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to FRONT - BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the front noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION .

-- Remove the upper air duct -item ) OVERVIEW - RADIATOR/RADIATOR FAN - Upper Air Duct from the radiator. Refer to Removing - RELEASE THE LEFT AND RIGHT CATCHES WITH THE :T10118 IN DIRECTION OF -ARROWS- AND REMOVE THE UPPER AIR DUCTS -1- AND SIDE AIR DUCTS -2-. (SHOWN WITH THE RADIATOR REMOVED). .

-- Remove the headlamps. Refer to HEADLAMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the lower pressure pipe. Refer to LOWER PRESSURE PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Drain the coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Place the container of the :VAS5014 or the :VAS6208 underneath.

-- Release and disconnect the connector -1- from the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Radiator Outlet -G83-.

-- Lift the clamp -3-.

-- Remove the right coolant hose at the bottom of the radiator and drain the rest of the coolant.

NOTE:

Ignore -2-.

CAUTION:

There is a risk of hand injury if the radiator fan turns on by itself.

- Do not reach into the radiator fan when disconnecting the connector.

-- Release and disconnect the connectors -1 and 2- for the radiator fan and free up the wire.

-- Remove the bolt -arrow- on the left and right.

-- Remove the bolts -5- and tilt the hood release bracket -1- upward.

NOTE:

Ignore -2-4 and 6-9-.

-- Lift the clips -1 and 2-, remove the coolant connection from the radiator and free it up.

-- Release the left and right catches in direction of -arrows- and remove the retaining pin -1- for the radiator upward.

-- Remove the fan shroud from the radiator. To do this, press the locking tabs in direction of -arrow A- on the left and right side. Lift the fan shroud upward in direction of -arrow B-.

-- Lift the bracket -4- for the radiator module -1- out of the lower bearings -3- in the direction of -arrow A-.

-- Tilt the radiator module -1- forward in direction of -arrow B- while pinching the side air ducts -2- carefully inward in direction of -arrow C-.

-- Lift the fan shroud -1- upward in direction of -arrow- and out.
