Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Radiator Outlet -G83-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING

Procedure 

-- To reduce the residual pressure in the cooling system, briefly open the coolant expansion tank cap -1- by releasing the retainer in direction of -arrow-.

-- Turn the cap until it locks in place.

-- Remove the right wheel housing liner front section. Refer to WHEEL HOUSING LINER .

-- Remove the front noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION .

-- Loosen the hose clamps -1 and 3-, and remove the air duct hose -2- from the air duct pipe.

-- Release and disconnect the connector -1-.

-- Place a cloth underneath to catch any escaping coolant.

-- Remove the bolt -2- and the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Radiator Outlet -G83-.

TIP:

If an O-ring remains in the coolant pipe, pry out the O-ring with a wire.

-- Insert the new engine coolant temperature sensor immediately so that as little coolant is lost as possible.

-- Install the air duct hose on the air duct pipe.

-- Check the coolant level and fill if necessary. Refer to Coolant Level, Checking .
