Active Steering Safety Lock (Locking Solenoid), Removing And Installing: Installing

The installation of a new adjusting element or the reinstallation of a marked adjusting element takes place in reverse order, at the same time note the following:
-- Place the marked adjusting element according to the mark applied during removal and tighten (use the socket included in the repair kit).
-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
-- Switch the ignition on.
-- Select and start the Diagnostic operating mode.
-- Select the Test plan tab.
-- Select the Select individual test button and select the following tree structure consecutively:
- Chassis
- Steering
- 0001 - OBD-capable systems
- 001B - Active Steering Control Module - J792
- 001B - Active Steering Control Module functions J792
- 001B - Basic Setting (Repair Group 48)
- 001B - Basic Setting, Reset Adaptation Values
- 001B - Basic setting complete
-- Start the selected program and follow the instructions on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester display.
