Single Seats, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Move the front seats all the way forward.
-- Remove the seat cushion. Refer to SEAT CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, SINGLE SEATS .
-- Move the rear seat into the most forward position and fold the backrest forward.
-- If installed, disconnect and free up the seat belt switch connector -arrow A-.
-- Remove the bolts -B arrows-.
-- Fold the backrest -2- toward the rear and adjust the rear seat to the rear position.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.
-- Fold the backrest forward again.
-- Lift the seat frame -1- at the front.
Risk of malfunction.
- When removing and installing the release cable, do not under any circumstances remove the relay lever -4- from the coupling housing.
-- Open the coupling housing cover.
-- Disengage the release cable bracket -5- from the mount on the coupling housing.
-- Disengage the release cable nipple -3- from the relay lever -4-.
-- Unclip and disengage the release cable -1- and coupling housing -2- from the seat frame.
-- To protect the sill panel before prying out the rear seat, apply the Universal Vehicle Protector:VAS 871 001 .
-- Remove the seat from the vehicle with a second technician.
