  • Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WHEN WORKING WITH PYROTECHNIC COMPONENTS .
  • Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". For example, this can be done by briefly touching the door striker.

-- Remove the backrest cover. Refer to BACKREST COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- For reinstallation, mark pneumatic lines at the separating point with a waterproof permanent marker.

-- Disconnect the pneumatic lines at the markings -arrows-. Refer to PNEUMATIC LINES, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

  1. Pneumatic Line to Upper Air Cushion
  2. Pneumatic Line to Center Air Cushion
  3. Pneumatic Line to Lower Air Cushion

-- Disconnect the pneumatic line -1- to the compressor for the multi-contour seat at the marking -arrow-. Refer to PNEUMATIC LINES, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Disconnect the connector -arrow- from the control module.

Remove the multi-contour seat control module

-- Pull the rubber bushing along the length -arrow A-.

-- At the same time remove the control module from the rubber bushing -arrow B-.
