Upper Steering Column Trim Panel, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Move the steering wheel as far to the rear and down as possible. Use the full steering column adjustment range for this.
-- Remove the instrument panel decorative trim. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL DECORATIVE TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Using the Trim Removal Wedge:3409 , unclip the instrument cluster gap cover -1- from the instrument panel vent and instrument cluster -arrows-.
-- Turn the steering wheel counterclockwise 90° from the straight position.
-- Pry out the upper steering column trim panel -1- with a small flat-head screwdriver carefully from the lower steering column trim panel -2- at the position shown -arrow-.
-- Turn the steering wheel back 180° and repeat the procedure on the opposite side.
-- Bring the steering wheel back into the center (wheels are straight).
-- Disengage the upper steering column trim panel from the lower steering column trim panel and remove.
