Center Console, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Move the front seats all the way forward into the highest position.

-- Remove the center console rear trim. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE REAR TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- If equipped, remove the air duct intermediate piece -1- for the rear vent in the center console.

-- Disconnect the connector -arrow-.

-- Equipped on some models: free up the connectors -1- through -4- and free up the wires -arrow-.

-- Pry off the cap -1- with a small screwdriver.

-- Remove the bolt -arrow A- behind it.

-- Repeat the procedure on the opposite side.

-- Remove the bolts -B arrows-.

-- Move the front seats all the way back and in the lowest position.

-- Remove the front footwell center console trim panels. Refer to FRONT FOOTWELL CENTER CONSOLE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the center console decorative trim. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE DECORATIVE TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the center console insert. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE INSERT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the front storage compartment in the center console. Refer to FRONT CENTER CONSOLE STORAGE COMPARTMENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- If equipped: remove the selector mechanism. Refer to SHIFT MECHANISM .

-- Remove the bolt -arrow-.

-- Disconnect the connectors -1-, if equipped.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Lift up the rear center console and pull toward the rear while guiding out the connectors.

-- Remove the center console carefully toward the rear.
