Battery -A-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 0K4 AND VH0: Removing

-- Disconnect the battery. Refer to Battery -A-, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING, 0K4 AND VH0 .
-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.
-- Place the battery bracket with the securing strap -3- toward the front.
-- Remove the battery cover -1-.
-- Open the cover -2- over the battery positive terminal.
-- Loosen the nut -5- several turns and remove the battery positive cable terminal clamp -6- from the battery terminal.
-- Disconnect the central venting system hose -2-.
-- Lift the battery -3- up and out of the luggage compartment.
- The disposal regulations for batteries and sulfuric acid must be followed when disposing of batteries. Refer to Battery .
