Battery -A-, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING, 0K4 AND VH0: Notes
The Auxiliary Battery -A1- is switched in parallel to the Battery -A-. The vehicle electrical system will only be de-energized if the Auxiliary Battery -A1- is de-energized first.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Analog/Digital Multimeter:FLU83III
Disconnecting
-- Switch off the ignition and place the ignition key outside of the vehicle.
-- Remove the rear luggage compartment floor. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Disconnect the connector -arrow- to the Auxiliary Battery -A1-. The Auxiliary Battery -A1- is de-energized by disconnecting the connector -arrow-.
-- If equipped, open the cover -3- on the battery negative terminal of the Battery -A-.
-- Loosen the nut -1- several turns and remove the battery ground cable clamp -2- from the battery terminal.
