Electric Drive Power And Control Electronics, Removing And Installing, AUDI Q5: Removing

-- De-energize the high-voltage system. Refer to HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM, DE-ENERGIZING .

• If replacing the control module, select the "Replace control module" function for the corresponding control module using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester .

-- Disconnect the battery. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove the impact guard for Electric Drive Power and Control Electronics -JX1-. Refer to UNDERBODY TRIM PANEL .

-- Support with Engine and Gearbox Jack:VAS 6931  and universal mounting plate from the electric drive power and control electronics.

-- Remove the rear tunnel brace. Refer to TUNNEL BRACE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove and free up the Drive Motor High-Voltage Wiring Harness -PX2- -item 2-.

• The high-voltage cable set must be replaced if the connector is damaged.

-- Disconnect the connector -1-.

-- Remove the Electrical A/C Compressor High-Voltage Cable -P3- -item 1- to do so release the catches -2-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove and free up the High-Voltage Wiring Harness for High-Voltage Battery -PX1- -item 3-.

• The high-voltage cable set must be replaced if the connector is damaged.

-- Remove the bolt -5- and free up the coolant line -2-.

-- Remove the bolts -1 and 4- and free up the cable holder -3-.

-- Remove the nut -4- and free up the B+ wire -1-.

-- Remove the bolt -3- and free up the potential equalization cable -2-.

-- Place the Shop Crane - Drip Tray:VAS 6208  underneath.

-- Loosen the hose clamps -1 and 2-, then clamp off the coolant hoses with the Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm:3094  and remove them.

-- Lower and remove the electric drive power and control electronics -3-.
