Overview - Rear Brakes

  1. Bleed Screw
  2. Protective Cap
  3. Seal
    • Replace after removing
  4. Bolt
    • 13 Nm
  5. Electro-Mechanical Parking Brake Motor
    • Left Parking Brake Motor -V282-
    • Right Parking Brake Motor -V283-
  6. Bolt
    • 35 Nm
    • Replace after removing
    • When loosening and tightening, counterhold at the guide pin
  7. Guide Pin
    • Check ease of movement
  8. Clip
  9. Brake Pad Wear Indicator Wire
  10. Bolt
    • 100 Nm +90°
    • Replace after removing
  11. Brake Hose
    • Replace if damaged
    • Pay attention to the correct routing: make sure the brake hose is not blocked, bent or rubbing against the vehicle
    • Make sure that tabs are properly seated in the grooves on the bracket.
  12. Bracket
    • For the brake line/hose
  13. Brake Line
    • Brake line to brake hose tightening specification: 14 Nm
    • Do not change the bending shape.
    • Replace a damaged or bent brake line
  14. Spring
    • Replace if damaged
  15. Bolt
    • 20 Nm
  16. Banjo Bolt
    • 35 Nm
    • Permanent with seals
    • Check for damage
    • Replace together with the brake hose
    • Clean any corrosion from the sealing surface on the brake caliper
  17. Brake Shield
  18. Bolt
    • 10 Nm
  19. Brake Rotor
  20. Bolt
    • 8 Nm
  21. Brake Pad Springs
    • Installed, depending on the version
    • Allocation. Refer to the appropriate Electronic Parts Information.
  22. Brake Pads
  23. Brake Carrier
  24. Protective Cap
    • Replace if damaged
  25. Brake Caliper

  1. Engage the inner brake pad with groove -arrow- for the brake pad wear sensor in the brake carrier
  2. Engage the outer brake pad into the brake carrier
