- Replace if damaged
- Allocation. Refer to the appropriate Electronic Parts Information.
- Make sure the brake hose is routed correctly. Make sure the brake hose is not blocked, bent, twisted or rubbing against the vehicle.
- Make sure that tabs are properly seated in the grooves on the bracket.
- Tightening specification at the brake caliper. Refer to Fig 3.

- Brake line to brake hose tightening specification: 14 Nm
- Replace a damaged or bent brake line
- Do not change the bending shape.

- Replace when replacing the pads
- Drive out and in using a punch
- Do not damage the paint coat of the brake caliper during driving it in or out

- Replace when replacing the pads
- For the left inner brake pad with the Left Front Brake Pad Wear Sensor -G34-

- Brake Pad Spring
- Replace when replacing the pads
- Do not change the bending shape.
- Brake Caliper
- Allocation. Refer to the appropriate Electronic Parts Information.
- To replace brake pads, unfasten from brake carrier
- Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, ALL BRAKES EXCLUDING 1LC, 1LE AND 1LF
- Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REPLACING, ALL BRAKES EXCLUDING 1LC, 1LE, 1LF
- Servicing. Refer to BRAKE CALIPER PISTON, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, FOUR-PISTON BRAKE .
- Brake Pads
- Always replace on both axles.
- Allocation. Refer to the appropriate Electronic Parts Information.
- Left inner brake pad with the Left Front Brake Pad Wear Sensor -G34-
- If the brake pad wear indicator wire is damaged, replace the brake pads
- Check the pad thickness. For the wear limit. Refer to BRAKE PADS, CHECKING THICKNESS

- Refer to Fig 2
- Brake Rotor
- Always replace on both axles.
- Allocation. Refer to the appropriate Electronic Parts Information.
- Refer to BRAKE ROTOR, CHECKING
- Wear limit specified on the brake rotor
- When replacing the brake rotors, also replace the brake pads.

Brake Pad and Brake Installation Position 1LG, 1LH, 1LK, 1LP
- When installed, the arrow -1- on the brake pad backing plate -2- must point upward.
Brake Line or Brake Hose to the Brake Caliper - Tightening Specification
- Version -A- without union bolt: tighten the brake line or break hose -2- to 20 Nm.
- Version -B- with union bolt, tighten the brake line or brake hose -1- to 14 Nm.
