Brake Pads, Removing And Installing, Brake 1LG, 1LH, 1LK, 1LP: Removing
-- Remove the front wheel. Refer to WHEELS AND TIRES .
-- Free up the brake pad wear indicator wire, for this, unclip it at the brake caliper and the brake pad spring -arrow-.
-- Use a drift punch to push the brake pad pins -1 and 2- from the outside toward the inside and out of the brake caliper.
-- Remove the brake caliper. Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, ALL BRAKES EXCLUDING 1LC, 1LE AND 1LF .
TIP:
Label the brake pads when removing if they are going to be used again. Install in the same position, otherwise the braking effect will be uneven.
-- Remove the brake pads -1 and 3-, at the same time pay attention to the sensor for the brake pad wear indicator.
-- When the brake pads are being replaced, unclip the brake pad spring -2-.
- If reusing the brake pads check the brake pad spring for damage, if necessary replace.
- Do not change the shape of the brake pad spring.
