Brake Pad Wear Indicator Wire, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the front wheel. Refer to WHEELS AND TIRES .

-- Disconnect the connector -2-.

-- Release the tab in direction of -arrow A- and turn 90° -arrow B- at the same time. Then remove and free up the brake pad wear sensor -1- from the bracket.

Vehicles with brakes 1LC, 1LE, 1LF:

-- Remove the brake caliper. Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the contact -1- for the brake pad wear indicator from the brake pad, while being careful of the clips -2-.

-- Free up the brake pad wear indicator wire, for this, unclip it at the brake caliper and the brake pad spring -arrow-.

Vehicles with Brakes 1LG, 1LH, 1LK, 1LP:

-- Free up the brake pad wear indicator wire, for this, unclip it at the brake caliper and the brake pad spring -arrow-.

-- Remove the contact -1- for the brake pad wear sensor from the brake pad, while being careful of the clips -2-.

Vehicles with brakes 1ZA, 1ZC, 1ZD, 1ZK, 1ZL, 1LI, 1LJ, 1LL:

-- Free up the wire by opening the protective cap -3- and disengage the wire from the brake caliper -arrows-.

-- Remove the contact -1- for the brake pad wear indicator from the brake pad, while being careful of the clips -2-.
