VINS, Checking Consistency And Impression

The VINs on the vehicle must be checked for consistency and for even and clear impressions. Make sure that all of the stickers on the vehicle have the same VIN and that they match the number stamped in the engine/motor compartment. None of the stamped numbers or letters should be slanted or unclear.
Procedure:
For vehicles in the Chinese market, the VIN is found in the following areas:
- General VINs. Refer to VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (VIN) .
- On two vehicle doors (usually the front doors)
- On the hood and on the luggage compartment cover (inside)
- Near the luggage compartment water guide (can only be seen with the lid open)
- On one of the B-pillars
