Roof Reinforcement, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Measure the width of the roof reinforcement and mark the center.

-- Guide the roof reinforcement into the vehicle.

-- Mount the roof reinforcement -1- centered between the outer sides and at a distance -a- from the front bow -2- on the roof.

• Dimension -a- = approximately 16 mm.

-- Mark the installation position and remove the roof reinforcement out of the vehicle again.

-- Apply the adhesive beads -arrows- as shown on the roof reinforcement.

• Thickness of the beads on the circumference -A arrows- is approximately 7 mm.
• Thickness of the support beads -B arrows- is approximately 5 mm.
• Apply the adhesive beads according to the line markings on the roof reinforcement.

-- Position the roof reinforcement -1- and -2- centered to the outer sides and at distance -a-, -b- to the bow -3- on the roof.

• Dimension -a- = approximately 15 mm.
• Dimension -b- = approximately 15 mm

-- Mark the installation position and remove the roof reinforcement out of the vehicle again.

-- Apply the adhesive beads -arrows- as shown on the roof reinforcement.

• Thickness of the support beads -B arrows- is approximately 5 mm.
• Apply the adhesive beads according to the line markings on the roof reinforcement.

-- Together with a second technician, guide the roof reinforcement into the vehicle.

-- Align the roof reinforcement according to the previously made markings and press on over the entire surface.

-- Wipe off any adhesive residue.
