Rear Lid Tail Lamp, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Check the self-adhesive seals -1- on the tail lamp -2- for damage.

• A damaged or incorrectly attached seal must be replaced.

TIP:

Water can get into the vehicle interior due to a damaged or incorrectly applied seal.

• If the tail lamp was replaced, then the function for replacing the respective tail lamp must be performed.

Procedure

-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- Select the Diagnostic  mode and start the diagnosis.

-- Select the Test plan  tab.

-- Select the Select individual test  button and select the following tree structure consecutively:

• Diagnostic-capable systems
• 0046 - Comfort System Central Control Module - J393
• 0046 - Comfort System Central Control Module, Functions
• Tail Lamp, Replacing

-- Start the selected program and follow the instructions on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester display.

-- Align the rear lid tail lamp to the body contour. Refer to REAR LID TAIL LAMP, ALIGNING WITH BODY CONTOUR .
