-- Remove the front passenger side instrument panel side cover. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL SIDE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Insert the Hex Ball Socket:T10058 (or another suitable 130 mm long tool) through the side opening on the front passenger side of the instrument panel.

-- Open the glove compartment cover -1- by pressing down the locking pin -2-.
