Vacuum Pump, Removing And Installing, Vehicle With 4.0L TFSI Engine: Removing

-- Remove the fan shroud. Refer to RADIATOR/RADIATOR FAN .

-- Free up the vacuum line -3- on the wiring duct.

-- Disconnect the connectors and free them up:

1 -

Oil Pressure Sensor -G10-

2 -

Map Controlled Engine Cooling Thermostat -F265-

6 -

Recirculation Valve, Bank 2 -N626-

9 -

Oil Pressure Regulation Valve -N428-

-- Disconnect the connector -5- for the Tank Ventilation Pressure Sensor 2 -G951- and free up the wire on the wiring duct.

-- Remove the connector -8- for the Oxygen Sensor 1 Before Catalytic Converter -GX10- from the bracket and disconnect and free up the wire.

-- Remove the bolts -4- and unclip the wiring duct from the bracket in direction of -arrow-.

-- Push the wiring duct upward and disconnect the connector -7- for the Engine Temperature Sensor -G407-.

-- Release the retainer in direction of -arrow B- and disconnect the vacuum line -2- without damaging it.

-- Remove the vacuum hose -3- without damaging it.

-- Remove the bolts -A arrows- and the vacuum pump -1-.
