WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2023 Audi SQ8, 2023 Audi RS Q8, and 2023 Audi Q8. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The special refrigerant oil that is only to be used for refrigerant circuits with refrigerant R134a is not commercially available. Refer to the appropriate Electronic Parts Information.
- Only fill the refrigerant circuit with approved refrigerant oils. Refer to the appropriate Electronic Parts Information. The correct refrigerant oil depends on the manufacturer and the type of A/C compressor installed.
- Too much refrigerant oil in the refrigerant circuit increases the pressures and reduces the cooling output of the system.
- Too little refrigerant oil in the refrigerant circuit can lead to A/C compressor failure due to lubrication problems.
- Refrigerant oil absorbs moisture. Do not use refrigerant oil from containers that have been left open for a long period of time. Refer to A/C SYSTEM, GENERAL INFORMATION .
Important information:
Refrigerant oil attracts moisture. Close any opened containers immediately after use to prevent moisture from entering.
- The specification about the usability of the refrigerant oil is given on the bottle the refrigerant oil is delivered in.
- This time specification does not need to be observed when the delivered bottle is tightly sealed.
- Refrigerant oil from a tightly sealed bottle can also be used after the time specified on the bottle.
