Refrigerant Circuit Seals

- The sealing surfaces must be checked for burrs or damages before installing.
- Thoroughly clean the sealing surfaces before the assembly.
- The respective overview specifies if O-rings and seals must be replaced. If no overview is available, then these components must be replaced after removal.
- Make sure the O-rings are positioned correctly on the pipe or in the groove.
Unless otherwise specified:
- Coat the seals at the outer circumference with the respective medium (oil, coolant, refrigerant oil, etc.).
Shaft seals:
- Slightly coat the shaft seals in oil before installing at the outer diameter.
- The open side on the shaft seals faces the fluid to be sealed off.
- Specified shaft seals (for example PTFE) must be installed dry. For this, always pay attention to the repair information.
- For shaft seals in the transmission area the space in between the sealing lips must be filled halfway with sealing grease.
