Ignition Coils, Removing And Installing: Removing
Cylinder 1, 2 and 3 Ignition Coils, Removing
-- Remove air filter upper section. Use the applicable steps from the chapter for this. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Release and disconnect the connector -2- for the heated oxygen sensor and free up the wire (example illustration).
-- Release and disconnect the connectors.
1 - For the Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N205-
3 - For the ignition coils
5 - For the Camshaft Position Sensor -G40-
-- Remove the bolts -4- and free up the ground wire.
-- Remove the wiring duct -2- from the ball pin and push to the side.
Cylinder 4, 5 and 6 Ignition Coils, Removing:
Vehicles without High-Voltage System:
-- Remove air filter upper section. Use the applicable steps from the chapter for this. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Vehicles with High-Voltage System:
-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Release and disconnect the connector -1- for the Engine Coolant Level Sensor -G32-.
-- Release the retainers using a screwdriver in direction of -arrow-, pull off the coolant expansion tank -2- with connected coolant hoses upward out of the bracket as far as possible and put aside.
-- Unclip and free up the refrigerant line -7- from the coolant line -2- out of the bracket.
-- Open the clip -3- and free up the coolant hose -6-.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.
-- Remove the coolant expansion tank bracket -1- upward and then move it to the side. While doing so, guide the guide piece out of the grommet -4- of the bracket -5-.
-- Loosen the hose clamp -1-, remove the air duct pipe from the Throttle Valve Control Module -GX3- and push it to the side.
Continuation for All:
-- Release and disconnect the connectors -2-.
-- Release the catch -arrow- and remove the wiring duct -1- from the ball pin and push to the side. If necessary, disconnect the connector at the Exhaust Camshaft Adjustment Valve 2 -N319-
