Upper And Lower Seat Pan Frame, Separating And Assembling
- The following components must be replaced after removal. Refer to OVERVIEW - SEAT PAN ADJUSTMENT .
The Driver Seat Forward/Back Adjustment Motor Driver Seat Forward/Back Adjustment Motor -V28- / Front Passenger Seat Forward/Back Adjustment Motor Front Passenger Seat Forward/Back Adjustment Motor -V31- is integrated into the seat pan lower frame. The seat forward/back adjustment motor cannot be replaced separately.
The Driver Seat Height Adjustment Motor Driver Seat Height Adjustment Motor -V245- /Front Passenger Seat Height Adjustment Motor Front Passenger Seat Height Adjustment Motor -V246- is integrated in the seat pan upper frame. The seat height adjustment motor cannot be replaced separately.
Separating
-- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Secure the front seat to the Engine/Transmission Holder - Seat Repair Fixture:VAS 6136 . Refer to FRONT SEAT, MOUNTING ON FIXTURE FOR SEAT REPAIR .
-- Remove the bolt -2-.
-- Unclip and disengage the seat position sensor -1- for the seat pan lower frame -3- -arrow-.
-- Unclip the rear bracket -2- for the wire routing on the seat pan with a flat-head screwdriver.
-- Release and disconnect the connector -1- on the seat forward/back adjustment motor.
-- Free up the wire -arrow-.
-- Support the seat pan upper frame with the backrest. so that it does not fall or get damaged when disconnecting it from the lower frame.
-- Remove the front and rear bolts -arrows- on the side sill side.
-- Remove the front and rear bolts -arrows- on the tunnel side.
-- Remove the seat pan upper frame with the backrest from the lower frame and place it on a clean surface.
Assembling
Assemble in the reverse order of removal.
-- Install the front seat. Refer to Installing .

- Seat position sensor on seat pan lower frame. Refer to OVERVIEW - SEAT POSITION SENSOR
