Front Seat Fan, Removing And Installing, Seat Cushion: Removing

-- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Secure the front seat to the Engine/Transmission Holder - Seat Repair Fixture:VAS 6136 . Refer to FRONT SEAT, MOUNTING ON FIXTURE FOR SEAT REPAIR .

CAUTION:

Risk of injury due to flying metal shavings.

Irritation and injury to skin and eyes possible.

- Wear protective eyewear.

- Wear safety gloves.

-- Drill out the pop rivets -arrows- or separate them using the mini-grinder.

-- Remove the protective cap -1- for the fan.

-- Disengage the tabs -2- on the rubber boot from the seat cushion fan.

-- Spray the rubber bracket -arrows- of the elastic fan mount with silicone-free lubricating spray. Remove the fan from the rubber brackets.

-- Release and disconnect the connector -1-.

-- Remove the fan.
