Center Muffler, Removing And Installing, With Separating Point: Removing

-- Remove the center rear underbody trim panel. Refer to OVERVIEW - UNDERBODY TRIM PANELS .
CAUTION:
Risk of accident due to the heavy weight of the muffler.
- A second technician is required for the following work steps.
-- Support the rear muffler at the separating points using the Engine and Gearbox Jack:VAS6931 .
-- Loosen the rear clamping sleeves -2- and slide backward.
-- Loosen the front clamping sleeves -1- and push it rearward.
-- Slightly lower the front muffler and remove the clamping sleeves.
-- Disengage the retaining loops -arrows-.
-- Remove the center muffler -5-.
