Engine, Supporting In Installation Position

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Tool Preparation

-- If this has not been done yet, make a 11 mm diameter hole in both Engine Support Bridge - Engine Bracket:10-222A/1  .

Procedure

CAUTION:

Risk of injury due to the engine weight shifting.

The possibility for parts of the body to be pinched or crushed increases.

- Only support the engine when the transmission and tunnel crossmember are removed.

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the left and right front covers for the fender. Refer to OVERVIEW - FENDER .

-- Remove the High-Voltage System Maintenance Connector -TW- with the clip from the longitudinal member.

-- Mount the Engine Support Bridge:10-222A  as shown.

  1. Square Pipe of the Engine Support Set:10-222B 
  2. Engine Support Bridge - Spindle:10-222A/11 
  3. :T40091/6 
  4. Engine Support Bridge - Spindle:10-222A/11 
  5. :T40091/6 
  6. Adapter:10-222A/1 
  7. Nut
    • Tighten hand-tight
  8. Engine Support Bridge - Adapter:10-222A/34 
    • Points downward vertically

-- The Adapter:10-222A/34  must engage on the inside of the longitudinal member as shown.

-- Tighten the Engine Support Bridge - Adapters:10-222A/34  using the nut -2-.

-- Slightly pretension the engine with the spindle, do not lift.

Assembling

Assemble in the reverse order of removal.

-- Install the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the fender cover. Refer to OVERVIEW - FENDER .
