Spoiler, Removing And Installing: Removing

Vehicles with lower spoiler:

-- Q8: loosen the rear wheel housing liner in the bumper cover area. Refer to OVERVIEW - REAR WHEEL HOUSING LINER .

-- Remove the bolts -4-.

-- Coat the mounting tabs -3- with some soapy water and release starting from the outside -arrows-.

-- Pull the spoiler -2- out of the bumper cover -1- and remove.

Continuation:

-- Remove the bumper cover. Refer to BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- If equipped, free up the wires on the spoiler.

-- SQ8: remove the mount for the tail pipe trim. Refer to TAIL PIPE TRIM MOUNT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Release the retainers -arrows-.

-- Remove the spoiler -1-.

-- If the spoiler is to be replaced, also remove the following components:

• If equipped, the rear diffuser. Refer to REAR DIFFUSER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
• Bumper Cover Trim Moldings. Refer to BUMPER COVER TRIM MOLDING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
