Bumper Cover, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the left and right tail lamps. Refer to TAIL LAMPS .

-- Remove the luggage compartment left trim panel. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Release and disconnect the connectors -2 and 3-.

-- Free up the connector -1-.

-- Push the grommet toward the outside.

-- Loosen the rear wheel arch trim in the bumper cover area. Refer to REAR WHEEL ARCH TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -1, 2, and 3-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

TIP:

On vehicles with trailer hitch the trailer hitch must be retracted.

-- RS Q8: Remove the bolts -2- from the bumper cover -1-.

-- Remove the bolt -2- on the left and right.

-- Release the catches -arrows- for the bumper cover -1-.

-- At the same time, disengage the side piece -1- on the side panel outward -arrow A-.

-- Remove the bumper cover -2- with a second technician  toward the rear -B arrows-.

-- Guide out the wiring harness from the body guide.

-- Lay the bumper cover on a soft surface.
