1. Brake Shield
   • Refer to BRAKE SHIELD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 
2. Wheel Bearing Housing
3. Bracket
   • For brake hose
4. Bolt
   • 20 Nm
5. Bracket
   • For brake hose
6. Rivet
7. Bracket
   • For the brake line/hose
   • On the body
8. Spring
   • Replace if damaged
9. Brake Line
   • Brake line to brake hose tightening specification: 14 Nm
10. Brake Hose
    • Replace if damaged
    • Allocation. Refer to the appropriate Electronic Parts Information.
    • Make sure the brake hose is routed correctly. Make sure the brake hose is not blocked, bent, twisted or rubbing against the vehicle.
    • Make sure that tabs are properly seated in the grooves on the bracket.
    • Refer to Fig 3
11. Bolt
    • 196 Nm
12. Brake Pads
    • Always replace on both axles.
    • Allocation. Refer to the appropriate Electronic Parts Information.
    • Check the pad thickness. For the wear limit. Refer to BRAKE PADS, CHECKING THICKNESS .
    • Refer to BRAKE PADS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, SIX-PISTON BRAKE 
    • Refer to Fig 4
13. Brake Pad Retaining Plate
    • Replace when replacing the pads
    • Check for proper seating
14. Brake Pad Spring
    • Check for proper seating
    • Always replace a damaged spring
    • Quantity 1 or 2 depending on the version
15. Brake Pad Wear Indicator Wire
    • Replace when replacing the brake pads.
    • With
      • Left Front Brake Pad Wear Sensor -G34-
      • Right Front Brake Pad Wear Sensor -G35-
    • For inner brake pad
    • Refer to BRAKE PAD WEAR INDICATOR WIRE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING

17. Bleed Screw
    • 18 Nm
    • Quantity: 2
    • Refer to HYDRAULIC SYSTEM, BLEEDING
18. Brake Caliper
    • Allocation. Refer to the appropriate Electronic Parts Information.
    • Refer to Fig 2
    • Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, Q7/Q8 
    • Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REPLACING 
    • Servicing. Refer to BRAKE CALIPER PISTON, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
19. Brake Pad Retaining Plate
    • Replace when replacing the pads
    • Check for proper seating
20. Bolt
    • 10 Nm
21. Brake Rotor
    • Always replace on both axles.
    • Allocation. Refer to the appropriate Electronic Parts Information.
    • Refer to BRAKE ROTOR, CHECKING, STEEL BRAKES
    • Wear limit specified on the brake rotor
    • When replacing the brake rotors, also replace the brake pads.
    • Refer to BRAKE ROTOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, STEEL BRAKES Q7/Q8 
22. Bolt
    • 10 Nm

Do not Loosen the Caliper/Brake Carrier Bolted Connections.

Tightening Specification - Brake Hose to Brake Caliper

• Version -A- without union bolt: tighten the brake hose -2- to 20 Nm.
• Version -B- with union bolt, tighten the brake hose -1- to 14 Nm.

Version 1:

-- Pay attention to the labeling -arrow- on the brake pads.

• LEFT OUTER
• LEFT INNER
• RIGHT OUTER
• RIGHT INNER

Version 2:

• When installed, the arrow -1- on the brake pad backing plate must point upward.
