Brake Pad Wear Indicator Wire, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Remove the front wheel while observing the safety precautions for vehicles with ceramic brakes. Refer to WHEELS AND TIRES .
-- Disconnect the connector -1- for the brake pad wear indicator.
-- Release the connector -2- for the brake pad wear indicator from its bracket in direction of -arrow A- while turning it 90° at the same time in direction of -arrow B-.
Vehicles with Six-Piston Brake:
-- Free up the wire, to do so open the protective cap -3- and disengage the wires from the brake caliper -arrows-.
-- Remove the contact -1- for the brake pad wear indicator from the brake pad, while being careful of the clips -2-.
- If the clips go missing, the brake pad wear indicator wire must be replaced.
Vehicle with Ten-Piston Steel Brake:
-- Free up the wire, to do so open the protective cap -3- and disengage the wires from the brake caliper -arrows-.
-- Remove the contact -1- for the brake pad wear indicator from the brake pad, while being careful of the clips -2-.
- If the clips go missing, the brake pad wear indicator wire must be replaced.
