Air Quality Package, Replacing Fragrance Canister

The canisters with fragrance for the Air Quality Package -9- are located behind the driver side instrument panel cover under the steering wheel.

Removal Procedures:

-- Remove the driver side instrument panel cover. Refer to DRIVER SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Procedure:

-- Turn each cartridge clockwise and remove.

-- Insert new cartridges: when inserting, the tab -arrow- must face the front of the vehicle. Install the cartridge counter-clockwise.

-- Install the instrument panel cover according to the description in the service information.

If the fragrance canister is replaced, the basic setting of the Fragrance Diffuser System Actuator -V687- must be performed.

Procedure

-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester .

-- Select the Diagnostic mode and start the diagnosis.

-- Select the Test plan tab.

-- Select the Select individual check button and then select the following tree structure one after the other:

0009 - Electronic Central Electric - J519
0009- Electronic Central Electric, Functions
0009 - Basic setting for A/C functions
→ basic setting 6, program the end stops of the Fragrance Diffuser System Actuator -V687-

NOTE:

Always pay attention to the layout of the respective fragrance locations.
