Latch, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the rear lid lower trim panel and the latch cover. Refer to REAR LID LOWER TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Turn the cable at the lever -6- 90° in the -direction of the arrow A- and remove it from the cable bracket -5-.
-- Using a screwdriver -1-, secure the operating lever -8- on the opposite side -arrow B-.
-- Disengage the cable nipple -7- on the operating lever -arrow C-.
-- Disconnect the connector -3-.
-- Remove the nuts -2 and 4-.
-- Remove the latch -5-.
