Front Carpet, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the instrument panel cover on the driver side. Refer to DRIVER SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the A-pillar lower trim panels. Refer to A-PILLAR LOWER TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the footrest. Refer to FOOTREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the front sill panel strip. Refer to FRONT SILL PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the front seats. Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the center console side trim panels. Refer to FRONT FOOTWELL CENTER CONSOLE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Right front footwell: remove the footwell and release the cover for the battery compartment -1- upward in the direction of -arrow- and remove to the center of the vehicle in the direction of -arrow B-.

-- Unclip the inner front passenger side cover -1- from the instrument panel cover using the Trim Removal Wedge:3409  in the direction of -arrow-.

-- Disengage the carpet on the center console support.

-- To remove the expanding clips -1-, push the clamping pin -2- in carefully approximately 5 mm until it engages audibly in the expanding clip in the direction of -arrow- (do not push in completely, otherwise the clamping pin will be lost).

-- Remove the rear floor mats -2-.

-- Remove the plugs -3-.

-- Remove the floor mat -1-.

-- Free up the rear carpet -2- and pull toward the rear.

-- Fold and remove the carpet in the center.

-- Make sure the carpet does not tear at the openings.
