DECOUPLER, Checking Ease Of Movement
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Refrigerant Sockets:T10364/4
Procedure
-- Remove the Decoupler Actuator -V606-. Refer to Decoupler Actuator -V606-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- To check if the decoupler is completely closed, place the socket wrench -1- with the Refrigerant Sockets:T10364/4 on the yoke and turn clockwise.
- A light springing effect must be felt at the stop.
-- To check if the decoupler is easy to move, position the torque wrench with the socket wrench and Refrigerant Sockets:T10364/4 at the yoke and turn it counter-clockwise a maximum of 2 Nm.
- If the required tightening specification increases easily at the beginning, until it drops again after 10 to 20 turns. The final torque should be reached after 32 to 33 turns.
Risk of damaging the decoupler due to it turning back by itself.
- Do not let go of the socket wrench with Refrigerant Sockets:T10364/4 . Turn the decoupler back by hand.
-- Install the Decoupler Actuator -V606-. Refer to Decoupler Actuator -V606-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
