Brake Pads, Removing And Installing, Q8: Removing

-- Free up the wire -1- for the brake pad wear contact -2-. To do so, open the cap -3- and disengage the wire from the brake caliper -arrows-.
-- Remove the brake caliper. Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Label the brake pads when removing if they are going to be used again. Install in the same position, otherwise the braking effect will be uneven.
- Pull out the brake pads -3 and 4- one after the other toward the center of the brake caliper.
-- Unclip the brake pad retaining plate -1-.
-- When the brake pads are being replaced, unclip the brake pad spring -2-.
- Do not change the shape of the brake pad spring and brake pad retaining plate.
- Damaged brake pad springs and brake pad retaining plates must be replaced.
