Vacuum Pump, Removing And Installing, Vehicle With 3.0L TFSI Engine: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

• Check the vacuum hose for damage before assembling and replace if necessary.
• Secure all hose connections with hose clamps. Refer to the appropriate Electronic Parts Information.

-- Position the vacuum pump driver -1- so it engages in the symmetrical groove on the camshaft when positioning in direction of -arrows-.

-- Push the new hose clamp over the vacuum hose.

-- Install the vacuum hose with the hose clamp -1- connected.
