Washer Nozzles, Adjusting

Adjust the spray nozzles for the windshield washer system. Refer to WINDSHIELD WASHER SYSTEM, CHECK SPRAY PATTERN AND ADJUSTING IF NECESSARY .

-- Clean the dirty washer nozzle if the spray field does not match the specifications.

Washer Nozzle, Cleaning:

CAUTION:

There is a risk of damaging the washer nozzles through improper handling.

- Do not use any objects to clean the washer nozzles.

Washer Nozzle in Hood:

-- Remove the washer nozzle. Refer to WASHER NOZZLES, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Washer Nozzle in Windshield Wiper Arm:

-- Bring the windshield wiper into the service position. Refer to WINDSHIELD WIPER, BRINGING INTO SERVICE POSITION .

-- Slide the service cover -1- for the plenum chamber cover toward the rear in direction of -arrow- and remove it.

-- Release and disconnect the connector -1-.

-- Release the retainers and disconnect the washer fluid hoses -2 and 3- at the connection points.

Continuation for all:

-- To remove any contaminants, the washer nozzle may only be blown out with compressed air in the opposite direction of the spray direction.

-- If the spray field still does not match the specifications, replace the washer nozzle.
