SUBFRAME CROSSBRACE, Removing And Installing: Removing
- Vehicles with active suspension: pay attention to the safety precautions. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WHEN WORKING ON VEHICLES WITH ACTIVE SUSPENSION .
-- Remove the noise insulations. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .
Equipment Versions with Side Transmission Mount:
-- Remove the bolts -2 and 3-.
Improper handling increases the risk of damaging the threads in the vehicle body.
- Never use an impact wrench to loosen or tighten.
- Position the bolts by hand only and screw in the first threads.
Equipment Versions without Sway Stabilization:
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the subframe crossbrace -1-.
Equipment Versions with Sway Stabilization:
-- Remove the nut -1- and then remove the bolt -3-. Free up the bracket -2- with electrical wires.
-- Counterhold the nut -3- and remove the left and right bolt -2-.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the subframe crossbrace -1-.
