Headrest Mount, Removing And Installing, Third Row

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Pry Lever:80-200 
• Trim Removal Wedge:3409 

Removing

-- Fold the headrest -1- forward.

-- Open the headrest cover at the opening -arrow-.

-- To do so, insert the :80-200  between the cover opening and push the lower cover side with the U-profile -3- inward.

-- At the same time, remove the upper cover side with the flat profile -2- from the U-profile.

-- Reach with a hand under the headrest cushion and release the headrest -2- alternating at the clips -1-.

-- To do so, press and hold the clips -arrow- and remove the headrest from the headrest mount.

-- Fold back the headrest mount.

-- Unclip the headrest trim -1- using the :3409  -arrow- and remove it.

-- Remove the third row seat. Refer to THIRD ROW SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- If the backrest is folded in, connect the backrest adjustment motor to an external power source and fold the backrest upright. Refer to the appropriate Wiring Diagram.

-- Remove the cover and cushion. Refer to COVER AND CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, THIRD ROW BACKREST .

-- Disengage the release cable bracket -3- from the backrest frame -arrow A-.

-- Unclip the clip -2- for the release cable hook from the hook -arrow B-.

-- Disengage the release cable hook from the clip and from the release lever -1-.

-- Remove both clips/cable ties -1- for the release cable.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the headrest mount -2- with the release cable upward from the backrest frame.

Installing and Adjusting

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

• The release cable must have little play.

-- If required, adjust the release cable on the adjuster -1-.

-- To do so, turn the adjuster in the direction of -arrow A- or -arrow B-.
