Starter, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With 4.0L TFSI Engine: Removing

-- Disconnect the ground cable to the Battery -A- when the ignition is switched off. Refer to Battery -A-, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove the right engine support. Refer to ENGINE SUPPORT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING - 2.0L , ENGINE SUPPORT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING - 3.0L .

-- Remove the bolt -arrow-.

-- Remove the nut -4- and free up the B+ wire -2-.

-- Remove the bolt -5- and the starter -1-.
