Brake Rotor, Removing And Installing, Steel Brakes RSQ8: Removing

-- Remove the front wheel. Refer to WHEELS AND TIRES .

-- Disconnect the connector -1- for the brake pad wear indicator.

-- Release the connector -2- for the brake pad wear indicator from its bracket in direction of -arrow A- while turning it 90° at the same time in direction of -arrow B-.

-- Free up the brake hose -3- on the bracket.

-- Remove the bolt -2-.

-- Install the Bracket Holder: T40423/1  -4- in the upper thread hand-tight.

-- Remove the bolt -3-.

-- Install the Bracket Holder: T40423/1  -6- in the lower thread hand-tight.

-- Remove the brake caliper -1- as far as possible -arrow-, until the brake rotor is freed up.

-- Lock the brake caliper -1- in a suitable position using the clamps -5 and 7- from the Bracket Holder:T40423  .

-- Remove the bolt -arrow- and remove the brake rotor.
