Vehicle From Below, Checking For Damage

Procedure:
-- Check the underbody carefully and completely for damage and loose connecting elements.
-- If there are defects, replace the damaged component or replace any missing fasteners.
High-voltage components, checking:
- Only applies to PHEV vehicles!
CAUTION:
Hybrid vehicles have a high-voltage system with a very high voltage. Risk of electrocution. Note the safety precautions! Refer to WARNING MESSAGES FOR HIGH-VOLTAGE VEHICLES (NOT FOR NAR)
- All work on vehicles with a high-voltage system may only be performed by technicians that are certified as "technicians trained in electrical systems".
- Contact to the responsible high-voltage technician or expert if something needs clarification.
Pay attention to the high-voltage and coolant lines in the visible area during the inspection of the high-voltage components in the underbody area!
Note the following:
- The high-voltage components must not show any damage on the outside.
- The insulation on the high-voltage cables must be intact and not have any damage.
- Pay attention to unusual distortion of the high-voltage cable.
- Pay attention to leaks in the coolant lines.
NOTE:
Inform the responsible high-voltage technician immediately if something seems wrong or missing.
