Bumper Carrier, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the molded foam part. Refer to MOLDED FOAM PART, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- If equipped, remove the left and right charge air cooler air duct. Refer to OVERVIEW - CHARGE AIR SYSTEM - 2.0L , OVERVIEW - CHARGE AIR SYSTEM - 3.0L .
-- Release and disconnect the connectors -1 and 2-.
-- Free up the wiring harness at the bumper carrier.
-- Mark the bolts for reinstallation.
-- Remove the bolts -2, 3, 5 and 6-.
-- Remove the bumper carrier -1- from the tab -4- and guide it under the headlamps -arrow-.
-- If the bumper carrier is to be replaced, also remove the following components:
- Remove the bracket for the outside air temperature sensor. Refer to Outside Air Temperature Sensor -G17- BRACKET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
