Overview - Telephone, AUDI Phone Box Light (9ZV), Before Product Improvement

The Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- is installed and is used for hands-free calling.

The Cellular Telephone -R54- is connected via Bluetooth. The Bluetooth Antenna -R152- is installed in the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-.

It can be operated using the MMI Infotainment system or by the Cellular Telephone -R54-.

The Left Front Microphone -R140- and the Right Front Microphone -R141- are installed in the Front Roof Module -WX3-.

The Telephone Baseplate -R126- (Audi phone box light) is installed in the front center armrest storage compartment. The Telephone Baseplate -R126- is exclusively equipped with a module for wireless charging of the corresponding Cellular Telephone -R54-.

An LTE module can also be installed in the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- for an Internet connection (Audi connect, EL3).

Notes on Bluetooth technology

A standardized radio connection is used for data transfer between the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- and Cellular Telephone -R54- - Bluetooth Technology. The range of the radio connection is approximately 10 m (32.8 feet).
