Overview - Telephone, AUDI Phone Box (9ZE), From Product Improvement Through My 2020

The Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- is installed and is used for hands-free calling.

The Cellular Telephone -R54- is connected via Bluetooth. The Bluetooth Antenna -R152- is installed in the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-.

It can be operated using the MMI Infotainment system or by the Cellular Telephone -R54-.

The Left Front Microphone -R140- and the Right Front Microphone -R141- are installed in the Front Roof Module -WX3-.

The Mobile Device Charger 1 -J1146- (Audi phone box) is installed with a pairing antenna in the front center console storage compartment. The Mobile Device Charger 1 -J1146- is also equipped with a module for wireless charging of the corresponding Cellular Telephone -R54-.

The LTE Antenna 3 -R330- is connected to the Mobile Device Charger 1 -J1146- via the Cellular Telephone Amplifier -R86-.

An LTE module can also be installed in the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- for an Internet connection (Audi connect, EL3).

• The LTE Antenna 1 -R297- and the LTE Antenna 2 -R306- is installed for data transmission.

Fault Finding is performed using the "Guided Fault Finding" on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester .

Notes on Bluetooth technology

A standardized radio connection is used for data transfer between the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- and Cellular Telephone -R54- - Bluetooth Technology. The range of the radio connection is approximately 10 m (32.8 feet).
