DVD Changer, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Open the lid.

-- Remove any DVDs still in the DVD Changer -R161-.

-- Turn off the ignition and all electrical equipment. Set the ignition key outside of the vehicle.

The luggage compartment side trim panel must be removed first and then the bracket with the DVD Changer -R161-.

-- Remove the luggage compartment left trim panel. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and pull out the bracket -2- with the DVD Changer -R161- -1- far enough until the wire clips can be reached.

-- Remove the wire clips, and release and disconnect the connectors from the DVD Changer -R161-.

-- Insert the Fiber-Optic Repair Set - Connector Protective Caps:VAS 6223/9 -1- onto the MOST bus connector -2-.

-- Insert two of the Radio Removal Tools:T10057 into the release slits on the DVD Changer -R161- -1- until they engage. Points on the grip eyelets of tool face outward.

-- Remove the DVD Changer -R161- -1- from the bracket -2-.

-- Press the locking tabs on the DVD Changer -R161- to remove the Radio Removal Tool:T10057 .
