Traffic Data Antenna, Removing And Installing: Notes

On vehicles through MY 2020 the Traffic Data Antenna -R173- is located at the top of the windshield in the center, ER5.

If the Traffic Data Antenna -R173- is replaced, the following procedure applies:

-- Connecting and switching on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- Switch the ignition on.

-- Select and start the Diagnostic  operating mode.

-- Select the Test plan  tab.

-- Select the Select individual test  button and select the following tree structure consecutively:

• Body
• Electrical Equipment
• 01 - OBD-capable systems
• 005F - Information Electronics Control Module 1 - J794 (MIB 2+)
• 005F - Information Electronics Control Module 1, functions
• 0643 - Traffic Data Antenna -R173 replacing

-- Start the selected program and follow the instructions on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester display.
